One Psycho gave me this red dot for posting my interview experience.
I'm really happy to hear this. Serves you right for making calls and taking InfoPass all the time. You are unfairly trying to get ahead of others and lowering the productivity of USCIS. Let them work.
.........
.........
.........
Please ignore these red dots and comments. It their frustration that is talking. So, when you have a minute, wish them well and move on with a smile.
Hope you get GC approval very soon.
Good Luck!

Hello IV core,
Just wanted to thank you for your efforts. I just contributed $100. That is all I can spare right now after all the freakin.. lawyer fees:D Please continue the good work.
Top Priroity let's push for recapture of visa numbers otherwise this victory today will put us in a backlog of 4-5 years.
Other than that I think we need to support the SKIL bill.
Address the BEC issue. A lot of folks are still stuck there.
And then do something about this numbersUSA propaganda. What a crock of BS!!
Again, thanks guys. YOU r the BEST!!
And oh let's not forget to thank Rep. Lofgren for her efforts. And let us also thank AILA/AILF and Murthy for her letter to Chertoff. I think all of this added the pressure and resulted in this miracle.
Good night and finally.........sweet dreams!!!

your frustration at IV and the core.
You can do that and IV (core or its members) will not bite at you, because we know we are all part of the same movement, with the same frustrations, pain and stress associated with uncertainty. What is really needed is channelling the frustration toward action, mobilization and support at the grass roots.
The opposition is strong. But if we are to succeed, we need to work together. IV work is not easy. Takes time, commitment and money. Lots of people have been trying to do it for a long long time now. But circumstances and uncertainty/unpredictability associated with the legislature and governmental agency(ies) have always been the deterrent for IV's success.
Reversal of July 07 VB, multi-year EAD, Extended OPT etc. - IV has played significant roles. Under tough circumstances, IV has been able to obtain temporary measures that provide interim relief to you and posterity.
The day will come when retrogression will become history. But nobody knows what the calendar date of that day is. I surely hope that the day falls in 2008.
As a start, have you looked at the High-Five campaign started by a IV member? Please donate $5 for that campaign. That is the least you can do.

On March 12, 2002, the House passed such an extension. Section
245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act was first enacted as a temporary
provision in 1994 and has been extended several times since then. It enables
unauthorized aliens in the United States who are eligible for immigrant visas based on
family relationships or job skills to become legal permanent residents (LPRs) without
leaving the country, provided they pay an additional fee. Before an alien can apply
to adjust to LPR status, the alien must have an approved immigrant visa petition and
must have a visa number immediately available to him or her. Currently, to be eligible
to adjust status under 245(i), an unauthorized alien must be the beneficiary of an
immigrant petition or labor certification application filed by April 30, 2001. An
unauthorized alien whose petition or application was not filed by April 30, 2001 must
go overseas to obtain a visa.

If First/Last name in all immigration related applications/docs match with entries in corrected passport, I don't think you need anything else. Green Card, when received, should have entries as in passport.
Thanks, jsb
But, how are they going to verify and match entries in passport now. Entry in their system, now may be 'LNU'

You said that you are from the Midwest, but your profile says that you send your application to Texas. How is that possible, All midwest I-485 applications must have gone to Nebraska Service Center.
"I am in Midwest and not all the USCIS/ASC offices treat as bad, as these guys may not have that many applicants coming to the office, like int Northeast or California."
I sent it to Nebraska and it reache on July 3rd 2007 and it was trnasferred to Texas. I am not sure what's there in my profile, I just entered the dates when it didn't let me login to the site. It did not let login even if I didn't enter an RFE date and I had to enter some date. My I-140 was approved from Texas. One more thing, when I e-Filed for EAD and AP this year, it went to Texas, though IO gave a Midwest address which falls under Nebraska, I don't know why and I was surprised and happy too as Texas was approving the applications very fast, but mine is not yet approved (Applied on 29th June).
It is already 6:15 PM and I have to go home, if I don't answer any more don't think I am hiding. I have a life to live and don't be so negative buddies. Every body will ge their Greencard and it is just time.
I have been living in US nearly for 10 years all the time in B1, L1 and H1 visas.
People might start asking, how come you have a 2006 priority date? One employer had applied in 2004 and was in PBEC and did not get approved untill 2007 July, meanwhile I had applied another in EB2 through another employer and got Labor approved in Septmeber 2006 (less than a month) and I-140 approved (Premium) in November. After that I got three years H1 through new employer and moved to this company on 11th June 2007 Luckily everything was made current on July 13th and mailed my I-485 application on July 2nd (Just before they officially announced that visas were unavailable) and it reached on July 3rd. Again don't ask me how could I apply in EB2, when I did not do Masters in US. I have Masters from India and also had Five years of experience even before 2004, by then I was in US for more than 5 years. Also, when my employer applied Labor in 2004, I was just Five days away from my 5th year ending on L1/H1.
One more thing I bought a home in 2005 when my labor was pending some where, may be in Local Labor Department or PBEC or somewhere inbetween, and have been living happily. I am also worried about the GC but not paranoid about it.
Many guys here worry too much, just relax and live a peaqceful life. Jus think this, we are highly educated and would defintely be able to make a living anywhere in the world, not just US. Don't worry tooo much and think others have no work and want to fool you guys.
Just my 2 cents......

As someone who is dealing with a screwed up legal immigration system, I find it funny when the "Anti-Illegal Immigration" folks talk about following to the law.
Clean up the legal immigration system first and then round up and deport all the folks who don't follow the law.
I am fine with deporting this woman but please treat her with dignity as a human first.
- JK
PS - BTW, I support the Death penalty but even for those on Death row, we should treat them with basic human dignity.
Also, I find it funny, when folks who have paid for labor substitution talk about Illegals getting better deals.

Oh man. I had to burst out laughing on your post imagining how that cop would endure if given such a punishment. But pity that lady how much ever crime she might have committed earlier. Still pregnancy and delivery is a re-birth for ladies.
There are times when you enforce law as a cop. But not all the times. Wish there was some humanity shown by this person. Acts like these are like a drop of ink in a glass of water. These bad cops taint the entire department.
Disgusting, Sheriff Joe is monster. Perhaps he came from family with no respect for women.
On the lighter note, if I were a judge, here's what I would do with Sheriff Joe if he was trailed:
1. Perform sex change operation on Sheriff Joe and install a womb.
2. Perform artificial insemination on Sheriff Joe using the seed of big man like Undertaker, Shaq or Khali (so that offspring is a big baby).
3. On term, shackles Sheriff Joe and make him go through the pain of giving birth. In the process don't administer epidural or perform C-Section.
4. Don't repair any damage done to his body parts after delivery.

Friends,
What I need to do now? My I-94 has wrong expiration date (I entered in US on 03/07/2007 and I got I-94 with expiration date as 01/10/2007). My attorney told me that it can be explained later. So, I've already file my 485 with a bad I-94.
Please let me know if anything can be done or still I can do something to correct this issue.
Thanks,
