Dear Administrator,

I suggest that please keep an activated Paypal logo on our website so our comrades can understand that we could pay through paypal.
I read on our site that we could pay through paypal but didn't know how.

USCIS is not a legislative body, they cannot pass a law. The Congress does. In order to change any existing laws Congress has to pass it and USCIS just implements it. So I do not think meeting USCIS will help. BTW what is DOS ?

Description of the process:
When USCIS receives a 485 application immediately upon receipt of the application, requests FBI/Homeland
Security for security clearence. USCIS waits for the security clearance from FBI indefinitely till it
receives a reply. FBI after doing the security checks ( the process involves checking the name against
potential threats to US, background checks what not) provides USCIS with "YES/NO" answer. If the answer
is "YES" USCIS clears the case and if it is NO your case would be rejected.
After 9/11 the problem is that FBI is not clearing the cases. Applicants like me have been waiting more
than 2-4 years.FBI used to provide the status over phone/e-mail. Oflate they have decided not do any more.
It is just like a blackhole and no one is there for you to provide the status/answer queries.

1.Its an interagency issue. USCIS need to follow up at constant intervals.
2. FBI need to publish a monthly status report just like USCIS to give the time line of processing
of the cases.
3. There should be a definite time line for clearing the cases.
4. There should be a grievance addressing system for the cases delayed indefinitely.
Ultimately it is in the interest of the country. If you think someone is dangerous, you would
not want him/her to be in the country freely roaming on a EAD. Right?
I have asked the folks on the immigrationportal.com forum to generate more ideas. let us see if some one can add

Its kind of a funny situation, and dangerous at the same time. This is a setup for a perfect storm and these idiot "friends" are planning for sunny days ahead. I guess someone forgot to turn on the weather channel, which in this situation is equivalent to "using common sense".
I am sorry to say this but all these "friends" are actually not your friends. Its better to have a wise foe than foolish friends.

Economy and job losses - this economy will not spare anyone and one has to be ready for ac21 and ex employer revocation and uscis officer sending denial and filing mtr than celebrating based on thoughts that Obama will give a green card.
Someone suggests - ahh I got EAD so I will get Green card soon, someone suggests I got finger print so I will get Green card soon.
I have seen people saying "My employer loves me and will never fire me - he invited me to play golf with him yesterday".
For those who keep saying "I will go back to my home country" - just look at the other side of the window - there are tons who want to jump this side.

That "small change" of EB2 China PD is very important. It suggests that there is going to be "Spill over" so EB2 India and China will have to move together to use the unused numbers. A good sign; at least EB1 retrogression does not seem to be likely and there will be some spill over numbers to EB2 India (EB2 china may not benefit much as it had a PD later than that for the rest of the year.
Scorpion: how can you say "no spill over". EB2ROW is current and so spill over is likely (more likely from EB1 and even to some extent from EB2 ROW)
Moreover, EB2 ROW remained current meaning that they have not used all their quota; they will not use any spillover numbers and they may even provide spill over numbers to EB2 India and China.

I was not judging anyone. I do not claim to know all the numbers. So i just put it out there for someone to look and evaluate. Now many are saying based on the numbers, there was no spillover wasted. That is fine.

That's probably the path most people with (EB3 2003 onwards/EB2 2004 onwards) will take from now on. The only hurdle is there is no clarity about the law regarding H1B extensions granted on an approved I-140. Most people have run out of H1B and will have to change jobs on the extensions. I hope USCIS issues a clear guidance on this issue. Also you might not have to let go of the priority date if your company is kind enough.
I don't care if the company is kind enought or not. Damn it .....it's my life and I want to control my own destiny.... a green card , red card, yellow card cannot make me beg anybody !! I have decided that I will keep switching on extensions and keep getting three extensions ....
If CIR / SKLIL happens , it would just be a bonus. But I will definitely help IV financially and morally all the time.....
EVERYONE SHOULD CONTRIBUTE AND MAKE SURE THAT WE WIN OR LOSE IT DOESN'T MATTER ....... WHAT MATTER THE MOST IS THAT WE GAVE OUR BEST SHOT AT IT.... AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU DON'T WANT TO FEEL THAT U DIDN'T TRY ENOUGH TO KILL THE CROCODILE. !!

Hi Guys,
I got an LUD on 8/14 on mine and my wifes I485s and also on the first EADs filed along with the 485. Anything cooking? I did change my employer in Feb 2010 and yet to file AC21. If any one had similar LUDs please post.
