That would explain why my Xcode download timed out last night after getting up to ~3GB.
Fricken Apple doesn't understand the concept of bandwidth caps :(
Especially the bandwidth caps down in Middle Earth…
Jealous. $80 in NZ might get you 30GB if you're lucky.
Slingshot - All you can eat. Got in it while I could, speeds aren't bad. You should stop getting you internet from telecom. :p

OSX shields you from getting into some of the nuts and bolts of things. This can be good or bad depending on whether you like to delve into such stuff.
I find that I still use windows because it does some things better, so I haven't lost any of the bits of knowledge.
The same can be said for using Unix or Linux, I used to use fedora quite a lot and so now, I'd be hard pressed to know the various yum parameters to install an app.
Given time you'll notice some of the short cuts and stuff that makes life easier in OSX, and if you move back to windows, you'd soon forget those as well.

Will be interested in seeing some line reports. I may have to switch up my schedule should the line start growing early. I think it should be mandatory for all Apple stores to have a live web cam in front of each of their doors. ;)

I tell people to buy the heaviest tripod they can afford to carry. So, if you are an avid hiker into the backwoods, then you will need a lighter tripod. If you only shoot within 10 metres of your car, you can get a much heavier tripod. If you only shoot in a studio a studio stand maybe more what you are looking for. I use one in my studio, and it beats a tripod hands down.
Also know that the tripod head (the bit that attaches to the top of legs and allows the camera to move and rotate does not have to be the same make as the legs. I have skookum (Local dialect for "big") Gitzo legs attached to Manfrotto head.
Go to a pro camera store, and talk to them. Try out the various models. If you shoot outside, and you don't live in temperate climate think about soft rubber controls on the head. Trust me. It's why I opted for Manfrotto over the Gitzo, although I preferred the Gitzo legs.
Good Luck.

I have an old NEC monitor and when I plug in the screen to the 7500 the screen's image is all distorted. I think it is because the monitor doesn't support the 7500's resolution. It's to distorted for me to see where the mouse is going so it would be impossible to change the resolution. Is there a key combination that will change the resolution or at least open the monitors control panel. The 7500 is running system 8. I plugged in a Cetris 650 to the screen and it worked fine. The NEC monitor is VGA so I am using a VGA to Apple converter. Any help would be great. I'll try booting with extentions off, maybe that will do something? Also the Cetris 650 has its own graphics card teh 7500 is just using the one that is on the motherboard. Thanks in advance :-)

The single is crap! Its along the lines of the Invincible Album which wasnt exactly a great success. There is also a big debate that its not even him singing. The first time i heard it I thought it wasnt him, then i read about everyone else thinking the same. I have over 400 MJ songs in my iTunes library. I know what he sounds like. It ain't him and the song is crap!
I seriously hope the other tracks are WAY better than the single.

Unplugging and plugging the nunchuk seems to stave off issues for 12-24 hours, but it's been a real annoyance for the past three days. Has anybody else have this happen to them?
Maybe playing for 12-24 hours at a time is the first problem.

For the Pentax K-7, this is a bugfix because they broke support in 3.1.
But, this appears to no workee on my G4 (which still runs iPhoto 09 in 10.5.8 just fine, and {hacked} Aperture 2.1.4 also). Won't install at all. Installer sez "Not for this computer".
So back to 3.0.

Maybe the easiest way would be to have a program that creates a shuffled playlist which you could then open in a player. Most playlist formats are plain text and fairly simple.
If your player of choice can accept a playlist as a command-line arg, perhaps you could automatically launch the player and have it start playing the shuffled playlist.

Why didn't they use the built in microphone for the singing? It looked like you just needed to touch the correct row?

I know what this is... this is an example of a Company trying to out do Apple Computer Inc.
The brilliant Marketing and Product design folks there forgot to check the MacRumors site where they could have easily caught wind of the XServe.
The Moral of the Story... Nobody does it better, makes me feel sad for the rest...:(

It is rumored that Microsoft spent as high as $500M on the launch of Windows 7. Does anybody know how much Apple spend on its ad campaign for the launch of iPad?
